With the aim of offering the immigrant and refugee community a space to share their stories, dreams, and experiences—as well as an opportunity to connect and get to know one another through art, photography, and poetry—the RIVA Center in Iowa City collaborated with artist Miriam Alarcón Ávila (Luchadora Art), poet and writer Judith Santopietro, and the RIVA Corps program to create an interactive art installation that shares the lived experiences of RIVA Corps community navigators.
